It lookslike the Overcooked 1 and Overcooked 2 doesn't support crossplay on any plataform except PC which Steam/GoG/Epic version can have crossplay and only Overcooked 2 can, BUT that is a catch, the crossplay is not activated natively nor has any option in-game, you have to change some settings of your game at Overcooked 2 steam page to change the version of the game to "steam_branch" or something like that to be able to play with players on GoG and Epic.
But if you buy the version Overcooked All you can eat!, you will have all levels from Overcooked 1 and 2 and DLCs in one game and it already has crossplay nativaly with all plataforms console and PC doesn't matter everyone can play happily, BUT! (Yes a catch again...) you can only play with players that has the "All you can eat!" version, so even if you are playing the Overcooked 2 levels you won't be able to play with anybody that has the base game nor DLCs.
I might be wrong and all the info I collected might be outdated but it is very confusing so I can't confirm.
Here is a link the the website of the game teaching how to change versions of the Overcooked 2 basic game to be able to play with Epic and GoG.
