Gamepad controller does not work at all

Gamepad controller works on all other Steam games (which clsim to support gamepads) but not Overcooked 2! Seems to be a known issue, but nothing been solved for months https://steamcommunity.com/app/728880/discussions/1/1745594817434849087/?ctp=6

Same here. The ♥♥♥♥♥♥ workaround is to map keyboard keys to controller is steam overlay controller settings. But thats not good for directional joystics. crappy ♥♥♥♥

Still not resolved. (MacOS + 8BitDo Ultimate). It's already 2025. How are the devolopers still working on this for over 5 years. People are BUYING the game, spending money just to play it but it does not work on their controllers.
