No mention of PC, is this really only going to be a console exclusive? :slimehungry:

Will the new All You Can Eat content come to the older versions as DLC? (minus the better graphics)

I posted this on the Overcooked 1 forum, but my prediction is since Overcooked is on EGS but not Overcooked 2, the All You Can Eat edition will come to Steam and Epic after the releases on the consoles. I pretty sure it was intentional not to release Overcooked 2 on Epic, that platform will get the new edition instead. Like I said, this is just a prediction, but Team 17 is pretty good about PC releases.

There aren't any plans for this right now.

Thanks for the response! I hope it does, though I understand if it doesn't.

But will there be anything for us PC players who have both games (incidentally I have every DLC too)?

The way I see it, All You Can Eat would be a great way to bring OC1 content to OC2, which would allow online play, something OC1 lacks.

Heya!

It's been answered already, it's console-only until further notice.

yup, i read it. Just giving a bit of leverage for that "further notice" to eventually happen ;)

Out of curiosity, since Overcooked 1 has been redone "In the Overcooked 2 engine", does that mean throwing is now added to Overcooked 1, or would that break too many levels? I notice that one space station level from the original game (the one with the two detachable capsules on the side) would have its intended goal completely undone by the addition of throwing, since a wall hasn't been added in the center, so I assume throwing has not been added?

That's an interesting question. In any case, porting all the levels to the OC2 engine was the right thing to do all along, since you gain online multiplayer.

That's why I think it should be a free update in OC2 for those who already own both games, or a cheap DLC for those who only own the first one. That would be fair, and I say it while I'm perfectly fine too with buying an "All you Can Eat" version for PC. I mean, the game got big thanks to everyone buying the first game even though it didn't support online, which was fine at the time, and the DLCs and the second games. I bought every piece of DLC they put out, and made a lot of friends buy it, so I can safely say I've been supporting the game with my mouth and my money.

My thoughts on the matter is that I might not get a PS5 or Xbox Series X until it's time for the PS6 or whatever comes after Series X to be phased out [not for any major reason, but that it always seems that I get a system after it's lifespan. I got the Wii U in 2016 when production for it ended for real this time, a PS3 a few years after the PS4 was released, and I think I got a PS4 at around the time the PS5 was rumored or announced. I don't even have a good PC yet, and when I do it might be just in time for it to be replaced by Computer 2: This Time It's Personal (I don't think I intentionally made a pun on Personal Computer, but I may have done so on a subconsious level)].
Also, I already have the Xbox version of both games for achievements and the Switch version of both games for the platypus skin in Overcooked 2 and after my first attempt of the twin trucks level, I don't want to try and three star* it a third time (or more, potentially).

*I didn't even three star it the first time, it's the first level where I just gave up on a level and left it in an imperfect state.

No, throwing will not be possible in the OC1 kitchens. These levels were not designed for use with the throwing mechanic.

yeah, I kind of figured as much, heh. Though if my opinion is worth anything, it might be fun to have as an unlockable after 3-starring the campaign.

Sadly that would involve completely redesigning and coding levels, which isn't something the team have plans to do at this time

Okay. Thanks anyway. It was good supporting you guys when the game was a hidden gem. And I will still do it. But please don't forget your fans and where you came from. We know success is handled differently than regular struggle, but just that, don't forget what took you there.

Looking forward to more DLCs and new games from the franchise :)
