To be honest i'm not 100% sure now if the points needed for 3 and 4 players to 3-star is the same or not than 2 players, but I can guarantee you that it is only a matter of strategy: With the correct strategy, all of the levels become really easy to 3-star.
If there's any level you and your brother are having trouble, try checking the leaderboard and copy the strategy used for the first place in the level you're having trouble: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DQEGWjW4_T6Swlsdxe0yKhXpRyTJQ29LZqrJjI5CeWY/edit?pageId=104841529160870569487#gid=0
Thanks for the responses!
In Overcooked! 2 the score boundaries are set to scale depending on the number of players for each level. So - more players means you need to get a higher scores to achieve 3 stars.
This means that the game balances out the scores if you're playing with less players.
I guess some of the 3-stars can be really hard, but that's what I like, it requires some serious strategic thinking and some nice execution.
What I would like are difficulty modes when picking a map. For example in hard mode, more fire is enabled so you really have to handle a lot more things .Extreme mode for even faster pace and happenings. Or something like that. Gives the game more replayability and makes it more challenging.
