A rant about map ramps
If you love this concept and have no issue with it, by all means continue on, ignore this rant and enjoy your day. I'm going to start off by saying the positive and that is I do love both Overcooked 1 and 2. O1 has the best music in my opinion (though that doesn't mean the music in 2 doesn't clearly show the love that was put into it) and I liked almost all the levels immensely. And don't get me wrong, O2 had some great things added like throwing ingredients and such. The Devs clearly put their upmost love into what they've made and they listen to the players, they are truly a great team. My favorite part of O2 is actually the campfire cookout DLC, I love almost every level and it gave me an old O1 feeling.

but,

what, in the ever loving mad moose mumps,

was the point,

in adding MAP RAMPS.

WHY? just WHY?

They add nothing to the game but frustration and annoyance.

In O1 you could dart around the map figuring out which levels to play again with ease or could easily figure out where to go (yes I realize O2's map is bigger so it may not be as easy at times) however in O2, you accidentally went in the wrong direction too fast? WELL YA FELL OFF A LEDGE AND NOW HAVE TO DART AROUND AIMLESSLY LOOKING FOR A RAMP BACK TO THE PLACE WHERE YOU NEED TO BE, SORRY. It just feels SO UTTERLY POINTLESS. It's extra work for something that is basically just aesthetic.

I mean yes, It's ultimately not too hard to find the wooden ramps or the switch ramps but c'mon, I don't go to the map screen to play hide n seek with switches or to fall off ledges constantly; I'm there to progress through levels or find levels I want to replay. Who thought this concept was a good idea? it truly baffles me. It adds nothing to the game at it's best and at it's worst it's a freaking obnoxious and useless FRUSTRATING mechanic. It doesn't absolutely ruin the game for me but it definitely dampens my experience when I'm trying to navigate around the map.

1 Are u a flat earther or do you live in the Netherlands ? Because nearly every were you look there are height diffrences

2 If you think about it then Overcooked 1 played off in the Netherlands and Overcooked 2 in belgium and Overcooked 3 will play off in the alp's so be prepared for a lot of height diffrences.....

(Please do not take this too personal its a Joke okay?;) )

Different terrain was added to make the world map more interesting to explore. Ramps make it possible for your food truck to drive around on higher levels of terrain.

I understand, it's just I don't prefer it personally. I didn't see the point of adding levels of terrain in the first place I suppose. It's not much to explore when the switches aren't too far from you and I just would rather get to the levels more easily than have to worry about falling off and having to find the right ramp that gets me back where I need to be. Just my preference.
