Will Binaural Simulation from Sniper Elite 4 be returning?

I didn't think the 3D positional audio was all that accurate or immersive in Sniper Elite 4, but I did appreciate that Rebellion thought of the unfortunately tiny niche that enjoys spatial audio in gaming.

I played SE4 with "Dolby Atmos for Headphones", which was IMO much better then binaural simulation. But honestly, this is not my area of competence. Maybe I just used wrong settings for binaural simulation.

Is someone here having experience with "DTS Sound unbound"?

Nah, it's entirely likely that Dolby Atmos would've matched your head profile better than the built-in Binaural Simulation did. You have to set your speaker config to either stereo or headphones, turn on Binaural Simulation in the launcher menu, and then select headphones in the in-game options. If you did it wrong, the headphones option would be grayed-out entirely.

This is what it's supposed to sound like. There are a few games I can think of where Atmos would sound better than the built-in HRTF, most notably Quake Champions.

If I look at the video link and other videos, than Dolby Atmos is really better.
