We can dream...
Honestly, Genesis as it is needs a slight overhaul before that. It screams for a 'Definitive Edition'-treatment in case there'd ever be a PC-port.
I enjoy it a lot on my Switch, but there's a bit of stuff missing IMO.
- The Origin and Thunderbolt added a few more things after Genesis was originally released, and that stuff (like the Atlas Gundam) is not in.
- No content from Narrative (you get a Phenex in Genesis, but that's the old MSV-version)
- For some reason, Genesis omitted F91. I get that Crossbone might stretch it a little, but c'mon. They have Hathaways Flash in it, so wtf.
Also, units like the Alex Gundam could get more variations (the new MG 2.0 has parts for a fully completed version, that'd be nice in-game)
Would be an insta buy for me if it does.
They gotta save something to make us buy newer games, right?
To be fair, The Origin and Thunderbolt were DLCs, and Crossrays also was not very comprehensive with the DLCs either. We got none of the grunts, only half of the G Fighter Gundams, none of the AGE Gundam upgrades or gear changes except the refurbished AGE-1 and AGE-2, none of the ace pilot suits from the Vagan besides Legilis Gundam, etc.
Omitting F91 is an odd take though. It's kind of a failed movie but it's still canon and connected to Crossbone.
Yeah, because the unit-tree is already somewhat diluted. Genesis has it much worse with its countless Zaku- and RX-78-variations.
Anyway. If a PC-port of Genesis would be 'as is' I'll pass on it and just wait for the actual next installment.
If it gets overhauled with improvements on the technical level and some more units added, I'd be on board.
In any case, I've already completed all quests in the japanese version on my Switch.
It was a bit confusing at first, but I got used to it. Thanks to color-coded text you have a good chance on just guessing what to do for a quest or secret objective.
As for the dialogue: If you already know the universal century in and out, it really doesn't matter (the only annoying part is that you can only skip story-stuff once you have completed the mission already).
