It's okay if you prep someone for all Physical Weapons buffs but yeah. Unfortunately it's moveset is just what is written down for it's bio and what it did in the show.
They could have gone with multiple melee attack as other units though. Kinda a shame since the design is sick.
This doesn't meean that tom create couldn't make some different animation for different melee attacks with different range though (a la srw).
Maybe, but I don't recall it ever doing that in the anime. Firing the electro-magnetic cannons is awkward and I think messes with it's ability to move.

What I meant was to be a bit more creative on the animation department, mainly because grunts units really feel lacking...
