Crashes and low fps when it doesn't
Ok so. Tried it last night as soon as it launched and it crashed. Went to bed. Woke up saw there was a patch and thought all was well. I quick loaded my mission and it worked but the animations were laggy as all hell. Even moving the cursor on the screen was pretty terrible. I then went out the game, turned off all the settings in options that may effect performance (bloom etc). Went back in and the thing went back to crashing on load.

So several questions. Has anyone done Scamcos job for them and found a fix that makes it playable and second whats the limit for refunds cause i stupidly prepurchased this 14 days ago?

Thanks

For low fps make sure game is using your main GPU, not integrated one, check if its running in performance mode too. Add Cross Rays to games list manually if you're using an Nvidia card.
As for crashing, there might be many possibilities causing this, i would start with checking all 3rd party softwares like antiviruses, discord and anything like that. If you have any, try to turn them off before launching the game. Also overclocked/turboboosted CPU/GPU rmight be a reason too (rarely but checking it doesn't hurt).

I believe there are FPS locks for this game just like SRW V. In SRW V, the battle sequences are locked to 30 fps for some reason as well as certain menu screens. As such, it seems like "lag" because the game forces your fps down suddenly from 60 to 30, making the transition jarring. If that's the case, there is nothing we can do since it is all engine bound.

All the animations during combat in this game are movie clips which get spliced together depending on unit/pilot portrait and so on with a overlay displaying the mecha stats.
Its nearly 31 GB of movie clips if you look into the game folder.
So if your combat sequences "stutter" its most likely a video codec problem on your system.

In that case i might just refund and get it on ps4

Ive never had issues with that before. If it is that i may be better off refunding and getting on ps4

The PS4 version isn't a jarring simply because the game is locked to 30 across the board on console.

I’m going to have to double check, but I’m almost positive the cinematics aren’t locked at 30 FPS. I’ve been maintaining a constant 60 FPS every time I looked at my counter.

As far as your performance issues, you are going to have to tell me what your hardware is. I’m sporting a GTX 1080 Ti, i7 7700K, with 16 GB of RAM and I’m not having any performance issues.

My rig is overkill, but whatever issues you may be having could be related to your hardware and not the game itself.

For some weird reason tabbing out makes the game lag less during animations.
