I'm using a logitech controller. I use it on other games and it works fine. But I had problem with crystar and this game, apparently I have to setup something in big picture? idk maybe someone here knows.

EDIT: Plugged in a ps3 controller and same thing.

No need to setup a controller for Steam.
My Xbox one controller worked well.

Plug it in before you start the game, this how I did just now and fixed.
Using ps3 controller.

Thanks I had to google this. I knew it had something to do with this thing, apparently I had to uncheck ps3, and check xbox because I'm using a different tool to connect my ps3 controller to pc.

Had to do this with the DS4, it wouldn't even work if I used DS4Windows' xinput wrapper which works for pretty much anything. Don't know what the hell Bamco did with this.
As someone who previously used a PS4/Logitech controller. I switched to Xbox-one controller and haven't looked back, unlike other controllers Windows and more improtantly most games will recognise the controller without problem or need for 3rd party software/configuration.

For me it has been a case of convenience, i'm sure its the same reason i still use windows(which is no longer being upgraded) as opposed to linux.

If you can't afford an xbox-one controller, x360 works and so do all the many generic brands for the xbox controllers.
