They decided to get borderline experimental, and make an AU only game to contrast all the UC only ones.

Genesis is the UC game. Maybe we’ll be fortunate and it will be ported. Otherwise, this is alternate timelines only.

For UC timeline play the SD Gundam Genesis~

I would be surprised if they actually did greenlight and release G-Gen Genesis for Steam.

But considering how Genesis is basically a modern remaster of G-Gen Spirits and how the art there is later used all the way into G-Gen Overworld, I would not be surprised if the next G-Gen title will use the Genesis art and give us all the major Gundam series (HD God/Burning Gundam will be real eye candy).

You can only get it on the PS4. They do have an english translated one you can get on amazon or playasia. VERY GOOD in my opinion. I got it day one. You can't buy the DLC they have, but if you make an account for the right region, you can at least get the free DLC for the game.

If you make an account for the right region you can also buy PSN cards for that region and buy the DLC. These are available on playasia and possibly other sites.

As for the lack of UC, its quite simple.

1: Genesis already covered all of UC up to unicorn, except maybe for some of the games.
2: If they continue making missions that cover the entirety of every series in the game (Which they are) the amount of content in the game would be truly massive if they covered AU and UC series. Even with the budget aside, these games still tend to come out on vita with every release, so making the game too big simply isn't an option if they're going to keep doing that.

Actually, this one isn't coming out on Vita. Just like SRW T didn't come out on Vita even though V and X did.

the sad difference is genesis features all UC series while this only features 4 non UC, and judging by the DLCs contents (only featuring a sad number of pilots/mech (1-3) from other missing series and no scenario ..) they have no plan to make this game a complete non-UC game.

you really can't compare this to genesis.

You can't really compare the two, because making a entirely non UC series will require more assets than it did for Genesis, the benefit to having a all UC game is that a lot of UC suits are used throughout multiple series, you don't get that when you're doing different series with their own sets of MSV and side stories that don't share suits whatsoever. This game has about the same amount of suits(or more) than in Genesis, imagine if they tried to feature every suit that comes with other series too.

DLC can solve that problem easily, they choose not to do that though

Or, they can release the game as is, not try to release a "expansion pack" and just add in suits here and there while they focus development on the next game.

Tom Create does not have an unlimited budget and time to make these games. How is that not easy to understand? Cross Rays has been built on an entirely new engine with everything developed from scratch.

If you want to play Genesis, either get it on consoles (assuming you have a PS4, Vita, or Switch) or hope it gets ported to PC someday.

Honestly, it’s great we are getting this game at all and the fact it’s not region-locked. One step at a time. We’ll see what Tom Create does next after Cross Rays.
