But for $250 it makes me think something is wrong with the machine. Here in CT there are tons of gaming PCs for sale on Craigslist, and they go anywhere from $400-600 for a mid range one.
I just sold one that was less powerful than that one you linked to for $590 cash and trade. It was a 9800 GTX+ Sli and Phenom II x2 build with a 900p LG monitor. So $250 for an 8 core FX and an 470 GTX sets off red flags. Make sure your buddy tests the hell out of that thing.
And do NOT swap the 470 for the 5770 for less cash, like the ad says. Stick with the 470.

Are you trying to say the mobo this gentlemen used for his 8 core CPU does not support it? IE, it's a 140W CPU on a mobo that only supports a 125W CPU? If so, jeez what a hunk of garbage.
