Yes you can run it smoothly. On high settings with atleast x4 MSAA

Something tells me you already know the answer.

It's fine, you'll probably want a much larger storage drive. The PSU is great.

But for $250 it makes me think something is wrong with the machine. Here in CT there are tons of gaming PCs for sale on Craigslist, and they go anywhere from $400-600 for a mid range one.

I just sold one that was less powerful than that one you linked to for $590 cash and trade. It was a 9800 GTX+ Sli and Phenom II x2 build with a 900p LG monitor. So $250 for an 8 core FX and an 470 GTX sets off red flags. Make sure your buddy tests the hell out of that thing.

And do NOT swap the 470 for the 5770 for less cash, like the ad says. Stick with the 470.

Hey,I have a laptop running on Ultra....except shadows are High....40-50 FPS outside 60 inside

the 470 is pretty old... just a cut above the 460, which is the minimum specs for skyrim, although it will run it... maybe medium/high? 250 seems okay for a build like this, although you should never trust ANYTHING on that foul craigslist.

This is NOT a mid range pc. In 2010, maybe, now its pretty budget, as even a 650 ti crushes a 470...

ok ty the deal is off anyway

The 470 will have no trouble running this game on high

I don't understand anything you're...acronyming.

Are you trying to say the mobo this gentlemen used for his 8 core CPU does not support it? IE, it's a 140W CPU on a mobo that only supports a 125W CPU? If so, jeez what a hunk of garbage.

Please. I buy, sell and trade all the time through Craigslist. It's harmless.
