[BUG?] Fortify Enchanting Potions ineffective
Hi Guys,

Just tried to power-boost my Enchanting/Alchemy/Smithing via an Enchanting/Alchemy loop but the "Fortify Enchanting" potions are ineffective. Got the +11% enchanting effect but the Enchanted items are the same level as normal.

Enchanting at 100 with only 1 rank in the first perk. Currently, basline enchanting produces +15% alchemy/smithing so I would expect at least +16% with Fortify Enchanting in effect.

Anyone else noted this?

Using an Enchanting Station from one of the Hearthfire DLC houses and have Dawnstar DLC installed if that makes any difference.

u need to 5 ranks to get base enchanting to 25% in achemy u need 5 ranks there with 25% bonus for good potions

another good tip become a vampire with necomage perk to boost it by another 25%

11% is nothing at 25% you get a very small boost to enchanting

Thanks for the feedback guys but the point I was making was that I was get NO effective bonus despite the "Fortify Enchantment" being in affect... 11% of +15% is 1.65% meaning the bonus should be +16.65% on the enchanted item (basic maths).

So either the description is wrong (highly probable) or the game effect is bugged (or perhaps both).

I have used the Fortify potions in previous run throughs albeit with 5 perks invested in the base Enchantment perk (this time I was trying not to waste perks un-necessarily.

I am not after overpowerful enchantments specifically, but the potion appears to be bugged.

Would be nice to be able to side-step the investment of 4 additional perks via potions.

On 360 even after had alchemy in the 80s with 100% more effective perk and another perk for better beneficial potions it was a minor difference in the effect it had on enchanting. Helped Smithing out a good bit however
