Proventus Avenicci in Skyrim won't offer to sell me a house in Whiterun. Why is this and how do I fix it?
And yes I became a Thane of Whiterun.

do you have the gold to buy it also what mods are you running. one of those could be causing the problem. if i remember right you need 5000 gold to buy it.

I have more then 5000 gold Because I used the gold cheat so I have alot

Im saying the option to say "Id like to buy a house" wont show up. PLEASE HELP!

You have to complete quest for the Jarl before he will let you buy a house.

Did you try leaving the Jarl's castle and going back in? Even waiting an day or two? Sometimes that resets the dialogue. If not, there's probably a console command you can enter (I'd have to look it up if so.)

To buy a house, you need a relationship rank with the jarl of 2. It's possible that that script failed. Try to enter this in the console:
player.setrelationshiprank 1a677 2

If your problem is related to the dlc, get the Unofficial Skyrim Patch and it's dlc versions. Whatever you do, don't remove the dlc like some noob recommended in one of your other spam threads. It will mess up your dlc quests.

That code did not work. Is there a mod that fixes this problem or something? I even tried disabling all my mods.
