I must admit that after I downloaded Dawnguard, and until I downloaded Hearthfire, summoning ANYTHING was problematic (It seemed that Dawnguard introduced a bug that made summoning more difficult that then was patched by Hearthfire, although maybe it was a mod that caused the problem instead - I did unsubscribe to a few mods about the time I got Hearthfire).
Writing <help "summon durnerhviir"> in the command console didn't bring me anywhere.
However the <player.teachword> command was a home run. Thanks gggg336. I managed to find the three shout-IDs at the interweb and now i apparently know them all.
<player.teachword 020030D4> Dur (D6)
<player.teachword 020030D6> Neh
<player.teachword 020030D7> Viir (V3r)
---
It would be nice though to 'resurrect' Durnerhviir so that i could go back to Soul Cairn to meet him face to snout. I suspect the happy happy happiness wouldn't feel so bloody hollow if i weren't just punching three cheat-codes into the console :)
Thank you!
Remember that you have to replace the xx with the number of mod your dawnguard is beeing loaded. you check that by starting skyrim in steam and clicking data files in the launcher. so for me it was player.placeatme 0200c71a
Durnehviir then appeared at my spot and teached me the first word. i repeated this 3 times so i learned all three words. :)
player.teachword wont give you the steam achievement. Maiq had the same problem. Maiq fixed the problem via console:
"set dlc1vq05durnehviirdeath to 0"
"player.addspell 020030d5"
"player.equipspell 020030d5 left"
then maiq summoned durnehviir three times and learned all three words. After that maiq saved the game and never spoke about this incident again. Or did he?
He will stick around a bit after each summons and fight as your ally.
Even after that, you can still summon him when you need him.
Look on the bright side Pelzmark,
if you go back and talk with him, you'll get a chance to do things differently because I'll guaratee this one thing: You can avoid making new mistakes and your second time through will most certainly be different.
