Dragonsreach bridge has disappeared?!?
I was playing and decided to go to dragonsreach, but upon arrival the bridge leading to dragonsreach has just vanished! There's just nothing and the guards who walk fall into the water because there's no bridge! What has happened?!? :(

I'd have to see a screen shot to believe this.

i'm trying to open the screenshot but it's telling me that it's not a valid bitmap file :(
Can I screenshot it by means other than printscreen?

F12

I have been pressing F12, but the screenshots section of my steam profile remains at (0) ...
Should it be showing up somewhere else? No menu or anything pops up when I press F12, no notifications or anything...
Seeing as F12 is the default hotkey, mine might be different, I'll find out.

Click view at the top of the page of your library page, then settings, then in game.

See what you have enabled.

Hahaha that's great! I've never seen this happen before. Do you have any mods installed? They could have caused this. If you are running Vanilla than I'm not sure what the problem is. My guess, just based on my own experiences, is that this will be linked onto this savegame, so if it bothers you too much, try to make a new game from scratch. Don't load from the autosave at the beginning, make sure it's a brand new save, then run to Whiterun right away and see if it fixed it.

If it doesn't bother you too much than you just run around the water, but I'd love to see the guards drop down into the water while patrolling. Maybe that's how that skeleton got there! ;)

I have no mods active whatsoever and i cannot be bothered to start all over again XD
You're right, the only problem is it's less comfortable to get into Dragonsreach now :P

The only thing I know that could cause that is if you used the console to disable or delete that object.

Thanks :)
I never did attempt to markfordelete the bridge so I don't think I could've just accidentally deleted it. It was there when I started the game, but I only noticed it was mising during the Thieve's Guild questline :P
Maybe if I had the code to the bridge I could somehow make it appear? :S

The mesh failed to load. Leave the area, restart the game, and it will probably fix itself. I've seen this happen on the road with objects.

If it doesn't fix itself, the ref ID of the bridge is: 3f60e

Console:
prid 3f60e
enable

Right click on skyrim from your libray list, go down to properties, then to local files, then validate local game cache. Let it do it's thing, and then take a look.
