So... Lydia just took off her clothes. :- |
So I bought Heartfire, got to my new land with Lydia and started building. After a while, when my house started to look like... a house, she offered to become my personal butler or whatever, I accepted and gave her a few errands to run and there she was on her merry way. I continued planning the rest of my house for a time, and then lo and behold, naked Lydia comes back from... god knows where and I can't find a way to get her to put some clothes back on !

You know if I'm gonna adopt some kids I think I might want to make her understand that walking around the house naked isn't gonna fly with me... or the child protection services.

Anyone ran into this bug before ? I guess someone had to but trying to find an answer on google with the keywords "naked" and "Lydia" just leads to some creepy mods and videos.
Any help would be welcome ! :)

I had Alva come back from the dead. I'm sure I killed her ages ago. She also seems detached from the quest she was involved in. No one seems to know who she is = D So I married her = )

did you ask her to get a bard?
there is more than one way to convince a bard to become your personal bard, and if you had no money... you know...

just kidding ofc,
can you list all the mods your have installed please?

EDIT:
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Hearthfire
read under the bugs section:
Some NPCs may not display their clothing.

You killed her in the quest in Morthal where you investigate the burning house. I actually managed to avoid her in the that master vampire's cave :3

Well, sh***... I guess that's it.
I found an unofficial patch for hearthfire in the workshop, I'll try that.
Edit: doesn't work but it's a work in progress. At least someone is on the case.

the unofficial patch is actually known to cause issues with hearthfire, so you will do more harm than good, dont use it for now.
as for the clothes, try this (save before you do it)

in game, near lydia, open the console "~",
click on lydia with the mouse, you will see an ID on the console header, then just type "resurrect" (without quotation marks), hit enter, close the console again with the "~" key.

see if she respawn with her clothes

well, i can only think of the UFO mod for followers. it got an option to say "you could dress better" and give them an armor or clothing item to wear... ill let you know if i find a fix for it,

do you have any mods related to followers installed?
LeBart Oct 7, 2012 @ 5:48am
I had the UFO and "followers can relax" but I unchecked them until I solve the issue.

well if you unchecked them and it didnt fix the issue, feel free to re-add these mods, use the UFO mod to manually dress lydia, see if it stays, let me know

just use the console to equip the NPC's with clothes it is very easy, I have described the process in my guide under the console commands section at the bottom http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=131403528#34093
