Can stewards still give quests?

E.g. If you hire vilkas as a steward can you still do his radial Companions quests?

i think so, i tried with aela and she was still offering me jobs. But beware, if you talk to them while they are outside of the house they will have lines only concerning the steward thing.
And if you make a spoise your stewart she/he would never move from that house even if you ask them to go to proudspire or something. They will agree but then stay in the house they are servicing.
If you talk to them inside the house they will agree on following in your adventures as usual.
