I was replying to this:
And aren't you a fan boy? You're fanboying so hard you can't even argue without swearing all over.
Yay verily Daggerfall tis the best for me but i love em all since the days of Arena as they all play out like huge chapters of a ever changing video game story. With mods we can enjoy what made previous games alot of fun to each of us individually.
Skyrim in alot of ways reminds me of Daggerfall so its pretty much a tie minus the different character creation systems.
As for Morrowind being dumbed down. I dont think so. We all lucked out with console gamers falling in love with Morrowind which just goes to show they are not the casuals everyone says they are. They like it just as thick as any hardcore gamer no matter the gaming system. Also back then there was no such thing as casuals. If not for the X Box fans who knows if we would still be enjoying The Elder Scrolls series or at the least we might be waiting alot longer for them to come out.
Thanks for the correction LOL :D I agree completely that removing skills does not make a game less intricate. Skyrim actually feels more natural and more fluid as all the game mechanics mainly hidden from sight are based on the players actions and not some set in stone stats etc. Just like in real life we can be many shades of existence not just one.
DLC stands for Downloadable content, none of that has anything to do with size.
Please stop making us Morrowind fans look bad, it's embarassing.
That's pretty sage advice :-)
Thanks to Dawnguard and the Dragonborn DLCs with their expansion level of depth yes DLC no longer has anything to do with size.
@ Aleitheo yes Shivering Isles hit all the right buttons. It was grim, scary and full of crazed humour. I still remember the wacked out female npc in the streets asking where a certain illicit substance was :D
