Oblivion, Morrowind, or Dawnguard.
Hello Everyone,
I bought skyrim and I have really enjoyed it and now I want to buy either Oblivion, Morrowind, or Dawnguard. Which would you recommend for me to buy?

Dawngaurd is an expansion of Skyrim. But Oblivion beats Morrowind by a mile.

Not really. Just more vampires mainly. But tbh The dragons and graphics of skyrim are good. But Oblivion i played almost 24/7. Where as Skyrim i never had that Kick. But thats just my opinion. But Skyrim is more advanced than Oblivion. And The Expansion Does not make the game any better in my opinion.

ok morrowind is more old school, meaning the quest don't have locate on them, you need to actually read and follow it. so I would say oblivion is better for you since its more similar to skyrim

Morrowind is pretty old. I would recommend either Dawnguard or Oblivion.

Oblivion. There just isn't a way to express how that world sweeps you up and carries you with it. You get sucked in and don't even realize the time you're spending on it. Oblivion is game that is amazing....and dangerous. Not a game to be taken on lightly if you're in a relationship.....it'll give you a chance to fall in love with the world, and when it falls apart you actually feel the need to save it. It's quite amazing.. You won't regret it.
Note: Only real negative is the repairing of every item and armour piece throughout the game. After every fight you have to spend 30 secs repairing your stuff at high levels.

It brings tears to my eyes, to see people really think that Oblivion is better than Morrowind. Even Skyrim is kinda worse, but not as much. You just have to try, and open your mind to it, forget the nowadays games, where everything is on a plate for you, you are the boss and so on. If you haven't played Morrowind, I really envy you, because you have a great chance to adventure and explore this tribal land of Dunmer.

I enjoy playing all 3. I like the fact that its always an -all-open world for the exploring. No direct paths to take at all..in all 3 games...However, Oblivion sems to be the most colorful, meaning that the environments are lush in greenery, leaves change colors with seasons, plus the soundtrack is pretty good as well. Dawnguard is just an expac that allows for a Vampire-Lord, 2 perk trees (for vamp.lord and werewolf) and about 7 more hours of gameplay. Currently, both Oblivion and Morrowind have 2 expacs (GOTYE) that will last you an additional 100 hours or more game play on top of the Skyim.
The only thing I never liked about Morrwind was there is no quest tracking, you have to read all the conversations and click on the key words in them that might lead you to additional destinations. Even though it's an older game, there are many mods you can use to brighten up the game.

Oblivion.

People tend to answer the Oblivion/Morrowind question depending on which one they played first, choosing that one. It's very hard to mentally compare the things that follow your first foray into the Elder Scrolls universe's transcendant model of role playing. I started with Morrowind and I think it beats Oblvion in every single category that isn't graphics or fidelity related. The lack of quest markers does wonders for immersion into the world.

But after Skyrim you should be prepared for Morrowind to be some significant steps backward in combat, fidelity, and usability departments. You'll have to forgive Morrwind much due to its age.

I say get Oblivion since it's the same price and closest to Skyrim in terms of systems, skills, fidelity, and usability mechanics. But if you'd be willing to give a game a chance I, with bias, think Morrowind is better than Oblivion.

OBLIVION... NO DOUBTS; YOU GET AN ENTIRE GAME FOR THE PRICE OF AN ADD-ON PLUS LOTS OF BACKGROUND TO TAMRIEL LORE... ENJOY!

Morrowind is probably my favorite. I recommend it.
