"Follow Me" problem...

Hi everybody, i have a problem with the game. it has started a few days ago. There is no "follow me" option in my conversations. any idea why? that problem is making me very angry.

You can perform favors for certain npcs who will then follow you with the dialogue " I need your help with something" - Most of the npcs with whom I have taken up, the dialogue became available after a fight (wager 100 gold) with them at a tavern, upon kicking their arse, they become your friend.

the first time i received the option was with faendal in Riverwood btw

No that is not about friendship, i am level 52 and have a lot of friends. follow me dialogue always was optional but it can not been seen for 3-4 days.

Did you lose a whole bunch of speechcraft(disease, etc), or commit a massive crime? Only thing I can think of, is you did something in the game which suddenly made no one your buddy anymore lol

Otherwise try the mystery cure all of: "~" "sexchange"; can't count how many times that has fixed weird glitches in the game.

The game is thinking that you already have a follower or nobody likes you anymore, I am guessing that it is the first. On a follower (for example, Lydia) try typing "setrelationshiprank player 4".. Can you show me your mod order? It would help alot... If you know who was following you last, try finding them or moving them to you by looking up their ref id (just google something like "lydia ref id" but with the name of your follower then type "prid [insert ref id here]" then type "moveto player".

sex change did not work for me :/ and it seems the problem is not about the mods because i have deeactivated and deleted all of the mods (even in the data folder), and re-install the game twicw but it didn't worked again.

I'm having this exact problem. This problem is killing me since I just bought Dragonborn. Has there been any fix/solution found on this?

Have you tried the console command set playerfollowercount to 0

... I love you for this post. The command "setrelationshiprank player 4" completely worked for me! <3 <3 <3

I had this same problem. Using the "moveto player" command brought back the option somehow. Thanks!

Allright so here is the solution if you have the tactics rts mod. If you go into sqaud orders and select go back to your old sqaude position, then you will be able to use the commands again. Sometimes it does this in the rts mod. So dont swet it if thats the case just order em back together.

the problem started for me when i used "set playerfollowercount to X" after that I tried to get Lydia to follow, I did this because I had someone following already and I thought this would increase the number of followers I could have without the mod. That was 2 weeks ago. I set it back to default but now I can't get them to follow no matter what save I use, I've even started a new game 5 times and the option for Lydia to follow is non existent on all 5 a little help please?
