How to defeat Miraak?

Im on the part where you are going to battle againts Miraak but everytime he got low health he kills a dragon and the life is filled so my battle against him turning to be forever! I have trayed the shouts i learned but htey don't work! What im supposed to do! Killing the dragons before him in the battle?

No let him kill all three dragons then Good old Herma Mora kills him not you. Just fight him.

3 times you must fight Miraak, when Miraak turns away from you in the heat of battle ''DO NOT'' chase after him, let him regain his health by killing the dragon and absorb the dragons soul and wait for Miraak to come after you, beat his dumb as_ again, he will turn away from you again and whirlwind away to regain his health again. this must happen three times-it's scripted that way. p.s. use low damage weapons on him .

because if you take Miraak's health below 10% the game will bug out on you, the game is set up for you and Miraak to fight 3 time before Herma Mora steps in .

you can get around that 10% bug by going sneak mode till he stops noticing you droping combat mode on him leting him gain the hp back. If not just punch him to 10%. I had to cause I made 1000 dmg weapons that one shot many mobs even the best dragons.

I had a problem with my mage character. I am primarily an illusionist, with conjuration as a backup. No destruction spells at all. I knew that he was immune to illusion, so I was planning on using my dremoras to wear him down. Except, unless everywhere else in Apocrypha, you cannot summon anything! Uh oh!

I managed to hold my own with my pathetic one-handed skill and a bound sword, with lots heals and shouts thrown in, but it was probably the roughest fight of my illusionist's career. It made Karstaag look like a piker.

im useing atherial staff that can summon dwarven spiders or rollers and a staff of flameatrouch and i could summon them but that is with staffs

Yeah, sort of like Gaenor was with fighters. It was like "OMG I can't hit this guy with my pimped out Sword of Awesomeness! This has to be a bug!"

did game say he was immune or did it say he resisted illusion magic. I know you can make a potion strong enough for illusionist to charm anyone in the dawnguard dlc so vampirelords can buy their stuff before killing them.

Hmmm, I assumed he was. I recall trying to Pacify him, but it didn't work. Perhaps he just got lucky and resisted it when I tried it.

The one time I played through this DLC I kept absorbing the dragon soul in the fight before he did. It made me sad :(

I defeated him with my staffs and destruction magic and now he is dead. he had problems with my dwarven rollers:) (I owned him)
