I don't know exactly when I became a Werewolf, so I may have to go back, save-by-save, until I find one where ‘Beast Form’ no longer shows up under ‘Powers’. NOT happy with Bethesda right now.
As much as I like Serana as a follower, I'm not sure she's ordinarily marriageable in the regular (un-modded) game. That could be the problem. The Lover Stone might override that. I'm still something of a noob, so no promises on that, but worth experimenting with. The UESP page only says that the 'Well Rested' bonus and the Lover Stone are XOR'd. I get the impression that Lover's Comfort replaces Well Rested.
Lover Stone may still be the better choice, since I believe it's permanent.
