Alto Wine Quest Items

I have 56 bottles of Alto Wine that I just can't get out of my inventory. I tried drinking them and selling them but I get a message that they are a 'Quest Item' but none of my quests asked for Alto Wine. Does anyone know where I can get rid of this wine or who would be wanting them? I think that they might be for a quest that I have not started yet.

I remember doing that only in Vilja quest! getting alto wine, hell I must have rotten drunk somewhere in skyrim if only I could what sam and I got up to!!

Quest items weigh nothing. I think that this applies here as well. After you finish "A night to remember" the regular Alto Wines become normal again. This also happens with Giants Toes and some third ingredient I do not remember right now

Hagraven feather is the third item. On a side note, this quest is a good way to bypass the 50 gold for a ride to Markarth or just plain hoofing it. Insta-port!

As has been said, this happens on the quest if you have to clear up the mess due to not being able to pass the speech check, the mess items are counted as quest items. There is an occasional bug that can cause the items, and any items that stack with them, to get stuck as quest items even after finishing the quest in the base game.

While they have no weight due to being quest items they will clutter up your inventory. The only way to remove them in this case is to use the console.

The unofficial patches fix the potential stuck state from occuring.

The Alto wine is one of the items necessary to repair the staff. Hagreven feathers I think is another. You will need to complete the quest to get rid of the wine.

hit the ~ then type player.removeitem 0003133b 56 then hit enter. they command player.removeitem removes it 0003133b indicates its alto wine and 56 is the number removed if you have any other problems type help" " put the name in the parenthesis which need to stay there then type enter and use that id instead of the alto wine id.

oh and i had the exact same problem i did the sanguine rose quest and in the temple i picked up the alto wine and giants toe and every time i got a new one it transitioned that over to a quest item and just kept building.
