Can't Absorb Dragon Souls...

I have seen this issue repeatedly, but whenever it gets discussed, the poster doesn't quite have the same experience as me, or the topic dies before the issue is resolved.

My load order is fine - I looked it up and all my DLCs/Unofficial Patches are set up just fine. One thing I think is weird is I constantly see that "Skyrim" and "Update" are supposed to be at the top, but for me those two don't even show up? I mean, obviously they must be there or the game wouldn't launch, right? I have the Legendary Edition of Skyrim if that makes any difference.

I can not finish A Blade in The Dark because I can't talk to Delphine. I'm assuming I can not talk to Delphine because I won't absorb the dragon soul of the first dragon you see Alduin revive. I can enter "setstage mq106 200" and complete the quest - but that won't fix my inability to absorb souls.

I have literally not done anything regarding Dragonborn aside from randomly running into those two cultists and picking up that note off of their bodies. I've had this issue before and it resolved itself, but seriously I've merc'ed probably over 10 dragons now and not gotten a single soul from them. They die just fine and never evaporate to leave behind their bones and let me take their souls.

Also you just by googling your problem you can often get answers -.-

So for some reason I can't absorb Sahloknir's soul. Now this wouldn't be a HUGE issue except I can't progress in the game, 'cause if I can't absorb this dragon's soul, Delphine won't do anything for me.

And before anyone asks, I looked in my shout menu. I am incapable of absorbing the soul. No idea why."
2 try this " To fix this on the PC, you can enter the following codes in the same order they are written:

setstage MQ106 150
setstage MQ106 155
setstage MQ106 160

This will unlock her dialogue options and enable you to finish A Blade in the Dark and unlock Diplomatic Immunity.
Edit: I was reading the dragon's page on the Skyrim wikia and one of the bugs listed is that he might resurrect with flesh already on his bones. When he came out of the ground, he had flesh and everything."

Skyrim and its update will not show in data when you start in steam because you are in the game they only show in third party launchers and programs.

Loot will sort your problem.
Unofficial skyrim patch was issued before Dragonborn DLC and its patch fixes that

got mine to work last night. I downloaded http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/31685/ and it worked. Extracted it to the data file and everything worked great. hope this helps. I have the unofficial patches for the game and the DLC's and it still didn't work. its all in the currect load order. I got the patch from the link i posted and it worked for me. Good luck
