Diplomatic Immunity Issue - Empty Chest

The pointer leads to a chest, as well as what the wood elf said, however, it's empty. . how can I retrieve my gear? And how can I fight the Thalmor guards?

Thank you Ren. All I did was click the choice "give Malborn the equipment". But my equipment was still with me as I've done others quest before I continued Diplomatic Immunity. But will I be able to retrieve all my weapons and armor?

DArn, then what could I do? I've made a mistake of just clicking "give the equipment"; without actually giving anything? Is there any other option I can do?

I'm planning somethng else. . are rings and necklace removed as well before you enter the party? If not, I can use sneak, and use bound sword for weapon just in case. . I'll try to craft me a ring/necklace intended for conjuration and restoration. . .

And before going to meet her at the stables, I'm leaving my original equipment ar whiterun. . .

One little trick I did was give my armor and prefered weapons to Malborn. Items were in the chest when I went for them. But I had to knock off a few high elf guards in my search for the evidence. So... I picked up their armor donning it since it was better than what I had and stored my useless heavy armor on the corpse. Nice trade off.

But yeah, you have to actually give the stuff to Malborn. Before I put on the party clothes some Nord came walking by and commented that I didn't have any clothes on.

I will I just hope I complete it. But i'll try to increase my sneak first. . just 5 more and I can get shadow warrior perk. I'm gonna need it I think.

If you didn't give them to Melbourn then Delphine took them. You can find them in her room in her inn. They are in a chest there, will probably have a quest arrow pointing to it, if selected.

YUp, although my health was down to 1/3 since the two guards ganged up on me. . as soon as as one was defeated, I looted him outrightly and equipped his armor and weapon. Then used Fast Healing, restored to full health before the Thalmor came in. :)

I'm having the same problem right now, only I cannot teleport away to Riverwood to see if Delphine has my stuff. I'm not strong enough for the guards, and every time I try to sneak past, they spot me anyways. I'm just in an endless loop of spawn, open the door and die. All my saves are within the radius of the party, so I can't load somewhere else. I have no idea what to do. ;(

you have to select each item and press the give button, otherwise he is holding nothing for you.

Don't you have ay bound weapon spells? It works everytime for me. .

if you need gear, then the player.additem command can help enough for you to survive long enough to get back to Delphine. You just need to google the item id codes for the gear you want.

Truth is, you can give Melborn all you want to give him, and it would be in the chest in the kitchen,. I've tried giving him, weapons, ligt armor, and jewelries, and then I equip them all in the kitchen. :)
