speech skill doesn't increase from trading via buying and selling

Hey guys so I'm just wondering but my speech skill doesn't increase. Only when I bribe or persuade. I mean I could sell all of my things and still not increase at least 1 for speech. I do have the uncapper mod from nexus so I don't know if it could be causing this but hands down speech is the hardest to level.

There are instructions for the uncapper that will show you how to customize your skill gains. Do that to ramp up the speach skill gain and see if it still doesn't level up.

Otherwise - its a mod conflict.

I ran the game without mods and still the same story. My bar for speech increased only by like 1/100

ermagerrrrr.... I get it. It won't increase because I have a low level. Like 24. And it won't increase if I buy or sell stuff so LOL fail bethesda. This is getting to the point where this game might become as bad as WoT

Did you run a 'clean' unmodded game - rather than just turn off your mods in an already existing game?

This game has a horrible tendency to leave scripts running from removed mods.

Well your speech skill increases are proportional to the value of the items you're selling and buying. If you are low level, selling and buying cheap stuff then its not going to level fast.

There is a wandering bard who will train you in Speechcraft.

Mind telling me how to run the game clean? Please I need all the help I can get

Best thing to do is start a new game, use the console codes to give you a bunch of expensive stuff and teleport you to a cell with a merchant in it. Sell the stuff and see if your Speechcraft improves. If it does then its a mod conflict and simply turning off the mod may (or seems to not) fix it.

Otherwise its a nasty, long, tedious testing process to see which one is the problem.

If you haven't already - Download BOSS from the Skyrim Nexus, its a load order manager that will *help* (but its not 100%) with load order problems.

Eh, I've got 225 - with some care (and a lot of patience) you can get them running. The trick is to not mind starting over ALL THE DAMN TIME.

I only add 6 mods to my list today. And now the game won't start again. Thanks to only being six to remove one at a time than a hundred. We need a box to select which mods we just subscribe to, to load one at a time instead of all automatically selected to load after subscribing.

@Incunabulum hey one last thing. about the uncapper ini file. I did change it but is it possible to mod it in a way so a skill would be leveled up faster? Because I increase the multiplier for the speech by like 8 but instead of me leveling up speech faster it overall increased my level (not speech) so any ideas?
