Unfortunately, as far as I can tell there are no console commands that will let you alter a single map marker on it's own.
tmm 1,0,0 - will add all undiscovered map markers without giving fast travel, they still need to be activated.
tmm 1,1,0 - will add all undiscovered map markers including fast travel.
Unless you have already discovered all other locations or don't care about finding things yourself this obviously isn't a good solution. If you experiment with these keep a savefile from before you use them so that you can revert if something goes wrong.
I'd check on the workshop/nexus if there are any mods that allow you to control map markers as it is possible to alter specific map markers as you see in multiple quests in the base game.
Thanks for the time you took replying. I was aware of the console commands, and as you rightly guessed, am not wanting to utilize them...at least not at this point. It's more of an annoyance than a hinderance. I think once I manually discover all the map I'll use the command to give me credit for Markarth, that's the only real solution i've come up with as I couldn't find any mods or save editors...etc.
