Any way to check if NPC is dead?
Is there a console command or some other way to check if a given NPC is dead?

I dismissed Iona in Whiterun a week ago in in-game time. I stopped in Riften and she wasn't back at Honeyside. She was decked out in full legendary Daedric and extra-enchanted jewelry, so I don't think the game would have killed her en route, but I'd still like to check. I already did the RP thing and just traveled the route between Whiterun and Riften with Detect Dead and didn't find anything.

Player.placeatme just spawns a new Iona (no equipment, etc.), unless I maybe have the wrong Iona ID due to the one I have being overwritten by a mod somehow (I do use Bijin Warmaidens).

Thoughts?

If your follower dies you will get a note and some money, so if she died you would know. But no, there are no commands like that unfortunately, if there was id finally be able to find all my skyrim horses.

try "help Iona" , in order to get her ref ID. then use the id for "placeatme ID" or "player.placeatme ID" . if you get a dead body, then she is dead... if not, profit :D

NightCore: Already tried that. See my second paragraph above. I get a new Iona but not the one with all the equipment I left with/on her.
