I don't know of any mods out there that do this. Partially, I think it's from a technical aspect of it being somewhat complex to pull off. I also think it's a bit of a lore issue because lycanthropy comes from Hircine himself. Regardless of how they earned it, all werewolves share Hircine's "gift". It's like how Molag Bal created vampirism, so all vampires share in his "gift" as well.
Also, don't worry too much about Dragonborn's whole thing with Hermaeus Mora. Unless you become his "champion" in the vanilla game and get the Oghma Infinium, he doesn't really recognize you as anything too special. It ends up being more like a mutually beneficial relationship. It's not so much "NOW I OWN YOU, MORTAL!!!" as it is "Thanks for helping me out. Here's your reward. Now get out of here."
And I see... It might be unbalanced too, to be a Natural race of werewolves just born out of existence. It be difficult to define how they got into Tamriel, plus it have to be well put together and balanced.
Well, it's a bit odd when you're the Dragonborn. The dragon blood is certainly a gift of Akatosh, and so you might think that he has a rather strong hold on you. Plus you're told that you'll go to Sovngarde in the end (which may sound appealing to some but not so much for Khajiit players like me. Just send me to Aetherius, thank you very much). Yet, at the same time, the daedra tend to be more powerful than the aedra when it comes to mortal affairs, so it's possible they may be able to pull you into their realm. It's really an odd setup.
I've always wondered what it would be like if your character became the "champion" of each daedric prince and then died. Would Hircine come up to your soul and be like "Hey, you belong to me now! Join the others in the endless hunt!" Then you just point to a long line of daedra and say "Get in line!"
Well, I always thought the Aedra and Daedra were always equally powerful. But yeah the Daedra mettled more with the Mers then Aedra so they have a upperhand.
...So If I'm bond to Akatosh, yet if I recieve the gift of Werewolves (Or vampire once I get that wonderful DLC Dawnguard), I'm basically just fine. Only in retrospec, once My char dies and faces judgement, I can easily succumb, or repent and lose that gift in exchange for eternal peace?
*shrugs* Who knows? I don't think we've ever really been given a substantial look into how the afterlife works in the Elder Scrolls.
Actually there's plenty of lore about the afterlife and aedra and daedra, i just read a bunch of it on the wikis last night, the daedra are somewhat more powerful than the aedra because the aedra sacrificed a good portion of their power to create the world, and in doing so weakened themselves dso they couldn't interact directly like the daedra do. The thing to remember is few of the daedra are truly evil, they're more like a force of nature like an earthquake, it's not shaking the ground to hurt you, it just happens.......though in the case of the deadra sometimes they ARE lol. From what I've seen and read of hircine he doesn't much care what you do, all he cares about is the hunt, the chase, etc, anything else is just irrelevant to him, so you could just plan on curing yourself when you get only enough that you think it's time. either way there are no werewolves who aren't associated with hircine, he might give you a task from time to time but you could refuse to do it(not in skyrim but in previous games he's done that)
Yes, they've had a lot of lore put into the afterlife in the Elder Scrolls, but I don't think we've learned enough to form any sort of hierarchy as to where a person ends up, especially when they're so wordly as your characters. I mean, you could have a character associated with a dozen different daedric princes who all claim ownership over your soul while, at the same time, Akatosh has a strong hold on you and the heroes of Sovngarde still claim that you're welcome there. It could be assumed that you'd go with a daedric prince since they're more powerful than the aedra... in Mundus. But what happens when you cross into the next life? Are you up for grabs in a free-for-all? Do you have a say in it? (probably not) What if two different daedra claim you? I don't think there's been enough lore or established canon to create a proper afterlife hierarchy.
Just send my Khajiit to Aetherius and be done with it. I hate the daedra (minus Azura and Meridia since they're more on the friendly side) and I don't want to be in Sovngarde will all the damn Nords. And what's the deal with spouses? I mean, if I were to go to Sovngarde, would I be able to bring my wife along with me? She may not be Dragonborn, but she went through the whole main questline with me. What if the Nords don't accept her in with me? No, no, no... I'd much rather sit in Aetherius with my Khajiit wife than be with a bunch of burly Nord men in Sovngarde, no matter how epic the music is there. I think I even saw a glimpse of armpit hair on the warmaidens while I was there. *gags*
... I think I love you =)
And well I haven't ignored, I just wanted to take it that way.
