Need some help regarding console resurrect *May contain spoilers*
So this is my story; I bought the legendary edition and started playing the game as i played it before. Basicly i rush the quests up to the greybeards. But this time i decided to go into Shroud Heart Barrow in Ivarstead before i did the 7000 thousand step climb. But when i was done with the "cave" i came out and was overrun by a master vampire. Wasnt that hard to end him since i had the help of the town peoples and guards. Tho, while i was fighting the vampire Temba Wide-Arm died due to some i think they were called devil dogs killed her.

And a quest i got from her failed due to this. I decided to google the master vampire encounter since i dont remember having one last time i played it on the ps3. And it said it was due to the dlc Dawnguard. Checked it up more and well... It made me download a mod that keeps them at bay. Tho thats not the issue, i resurrected Temba with the resurrect console command and she dosnt have the option for the quest anymore.

So my question; Is there a way to "reset" the npc through console so that she can give me the quest. Because an issue like this is annoying for a Quest Completionist like me.

Reload your save, there is no way to do that, you could go to the console command and click on the vampire and press kill or try again, the mod dosnt affect small cities like so
This isn't just directed just at you, Tilestone mate, but everyone who doesn't realise something about using the blasted console:

TOO MANY PEOPLE are seeing console commands as a LAZY way of avoiding reloading, but what they fail to realise is that console commands can interfere with the papyrus scripting that underpins the game. It is ok to use them at certain times, but if you're trying to re-write the game's quest lines, console commands ain't the way to re-program your game, are they...
Why not just....reload to like 5 minutes ago? Why barf your game up?

For example, if you change the course of the game with console commands that disrupt or BYPASS Quest-based scripting, you're gonna bork up your game / saves.

You must keep it simple and not reach for the tilde key just cos you're hungry for achievements, or can't be bothered reloading! (ughh!)

Now, I'm not telling you how to play your game, I'm just saying people need to pay more respect for the game, PC gaming is a complex affair, not just a box and a CD and a few buttons...

So reloading.. hmm, had only 2 saves one before the issue where the npc was dead and after where quest dont work. So I guess i'll start over from the start then since i cant reload. Well, not that i havnt done that before xD

The ps3 version had me replaying the game around 10 times due to save bugs when it came to patches/other issues.I think i had around 300 hours clocked on the game on the ps3 and yet never got to finish it due to bugs/saves becoming corrupt @ every patch. So it dosnt come as a suprise to start over again. Tho, i thought the pc version would be more stable =/ Never had a quest npc perma dying in the ps3 version so it was a tad new to me. Thats why i took it up and asked for help. Oh and I have waited around some hours ingame for Proventus Avenicci to resurrect.. But he still lays there dead.

Decided to see if a quest npc would be resurrected by the game since well.. he's kinda important seeing that you buy the house from him and turn in a couple of quests.. But he still is dead.. =/ Tried resurrecting by console but well.. He dont have the option to buy a house anymore and i cant turn in the quest i got from him either since it failed, and i cant pick it up again either, since i dont get the bounty anymore. And the only save i have is the one before the resurrect and after. Not much i can do other than restart the game from scratch and hope that the quest npcs dont die before the Dawnguard dlc is done then =/

Thanks anyways for the help even tho it wasnt much of help.
I was thinking of restarting due to that im used to it.. But thought at least that it would be worth to test and see if there would be a workaround. But i agree on what your saying Master Dan, since i have an tendency of playing games as they were intended. Not a fan of mods for example, and well.. not console either.

But thank for the answers guys and i'll just restart the entire game from scratch.. Again..
Gawd when will i get to finish this jewel xD

Save, save and save again. Make it a practice of saving so you do have a marker to go back to. You can save over a previous save when you are sure that you do not need to go back to it. For instance when entering a dungeon you save and then save at different points through it. There is also the ability to delete previous saves if necessary.
