This.

You can't find them because they are contained in the Skyrim - Meshes.bsa file. If you want to edit meshes you'll need to extract them from the BSA first. You can use Fallout Mod Manager if you already have that, or you can grab FO3 Archive Utility from Nexus, which is very simple to use. http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/34/?

As above, you will only have a meshes folder if you have installed mods which add new meshes of some sort. I would suggest starting your own thread and giving as clear, detailed an explanation as you can of what you are trying to do.

They could be packed into a bsa. You'll most likely need to open it up in the Creation Kit to make changes to it.

I'm not entirely familiar with the Creation Kit so I could be wrong, but I don't think you can open up the BSA files with it. If it's anything like the Fallout editors, you need to extract the archive first, then transfer the file you want into the game's Meshes folder. If there isn't one there, then you have to create it, plus all the sub-folders you may need for a particular in order to recreate the structure that's in the BSA file.

I may be wrong, going from memory. But I believe MO has a built in extractor.

So does TES Mod Manager for Skyrim.
