Is there any rain in Skyrim? I have never had rain in my 300 hours of playing if there is any

Rains around Falkreath and Whiterun for me all the time, even get thunderstorms occasionally.

The weather is dependent upon where you're hanging out at - it only rains a lot around Falkreath - I find its rare in the other holds (and non-existent in some - snow instead).

Yes, there is rain

Just rained on me at Solitude.

I'm confused about how it is possible to miss the rain in over 300 hours of play. I get rained on a lot. Not much thunder and lightning but plenty of rain. Of course, it is easier to see when it comes down in solid form.

I don't suppose you installed a mod like "Sunny Skyrim" or something like that?

use the mod WET AND COLD

adds proper weather effects to the game

I too kinda noticed it never seemed to rain either. The i installed wet and cold and now i experience rain+sunny weather+thunder storms and various others

No, most of the first 100 were vanilla without mods. I'm not sure either. I just don't ever seem to get rain or thunderstorms. Only sunny, clear or cloudy days. I do get snow around Windhelm and dawnstar.

climates of tamriel plus wet and cold make for wonderful weather effects, and frost falls makes you worry about it. THe cold effects things like melee combat and lock pick with frost falls. love the realisim. F needs mods lol to much effort in keeping fed i dont mind being cold but hungry is not cool.

This is very odd, I'll install climates of tamriel and possibly cold and wet.

Oh and is anybody running Climates of Tamriel with RCRN?
Jais Aug 26, 2013 @ 2:50pm
NO RCRN never used it, any good? I am running enhanced lights and fx. makes dungeons extra scary lol. forces torches and lantern use, or use of a spell. Also works with with climates nicely.

Was thinking a mod could have broken the weather system. UNisntalling evry thing may not remove the script casusing the problem. i am using a realistic animal food change mod and found it can break the animal ai and cause them to stand still. i kick em a few times and things start to work agian. I don't see you kicking rain clouds any time soon lol. I wouldn't be surprised if using another mod could fix it and over write the script.

Use WET AND COLD instead. If u have SKSE installed you will see people running indoors when it rains or using umbrellas

you will also see people in snowy areas wear a LOT of fur outfits to deal with the cold weather and various other cools effects

Yeah it exists but it's hardly dynamic like was advertised. Simply find the right cell, walk into or out of it and it will begin raining....

Same with snow, sun, what-not. It's all about finding which cell was told to be rainy.
