Cannot find TESV.exe
I need it for SKSE (Skyrim Script Extender) but I cannot find it anywhere I look, and I've made sure all exe. types are seeable and not hidden so not sure what's going on here.

Assuming you installed to the default location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim
Just copy and paste that into the start menu. Ask if you have any more questions about SKSE.
I'm sorry, I meant TESV.exe not TES.exe

Yeah, your executable is in the main Skyrim directory.

oh wow

copy and pasting that allowed me to see my TESV.EXE folder i could not see it in search even when i used the settings THANK YOU GOD
Just something I've noticed: A lot of people seem to think that it has to be exactly "TESV.EXE." On a lot of computers, such as mine, games and programs don't have that .exe ending, and so for some it will just simply be "TESV."

That is because Windows defaults to hiding the extension of files it knows about - they seem to think it makes things simpler or more friendly for users, but it really just results in unnecessary confusion. I highly recommend that everyone turn off that mis-feature...

To show or hide file name extensions
  • Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Folder Options.
  • Click the View tab, and then, under Advanced settings, do one of the following:
Show or hide file name extensions - Windows Help
windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/windows/show-hide-file-name-extensions

right click on the game in your library. pick properties.
then local files tab. then browse local files. that is where YOU installed the game.

no ownership mouse icon next to your name. steam says you dont own the game.
