Whirlwind Sprint - How does it work?

I made it to the Greybeards to learn about Dragonborne. Learning the shouts is no problem, but I can't figure out how to do the Whirlwind Sprint. I thought pressing Alt would work, but it doesn't do it. Will someone tell me how to make it work?

It's a shout, you use it by selecting it in the shout menu, and pressing Z.

Yeah, I was confused too. You hit Tab, go to the Magic arrow, and the list of shouts should be on there. Just hover over it and click, it should be assigned to Z.

Remember the key you pressed after you killed your first dragon at the Western Watch Tower and you absorbed its soul? The game gave you a new undocumentd quest by telling you to "Press Z to Shout." When you augmented your Fus shout by talking to the Greybeards and learning Roh, you shouted the double shout words by holding longer your "Z" key before releasing it.

You need to go to your magic menu, Shouts section and select Whirlwind Sprint as the active shout. With Whirlwind Sprint selected as your active shout you will do exactly what the shout name describes, you will run at a VERY fast speed. One of the Greybeards even demonstrates what the shout does.

Slightly quicker method (the one I personally prefer) is to just use the keyboard keys to directly bring up what section of the Tab Arrow you want:

Skills - /
Items - I
Map - M
Magic - P

The PC version IMO is easy to navigate and play once someone learns the keyboard shortcuts. When in a multi-tab menu the arrow keys can switch to a new tab, and move the highlight up and down in a list such as your inventory,
