Anybody else with Glowing eyes glitch?
Hi, I have been playing Skyrim since it first came out, and recently, I think near the completion of the main quest, my character got " bright glowing eyes", like light sources that would appear right next to each eye. Depending on the third person viewing angle, the glowing eyes would disappear. I reinstalled the game after re-formatting my computer (for other non-problem reasons), and I still got the glowing eyes. Then last night I bought the Legendary edition (for the extra content), uninstalled my previous skyrim and installed the LE, and still got the glowing eyes. Is it a glitch in the save game file maybe? One thing I haven't tried is starting over with a new character to see if they start with glowing eyes. But I'm not about to replay the game. Anyway, I thought I might inquire if there might be a simple solution.

Cheers!

Hardware: HP model p6211f
Radeon 6950 video
Win 7, Direct X 11

PS-My hardware has not changed before or after the glowing eyes

Well, no not me. I'm trying to resolve an problem with everyone, with two legs that is, just standing in an X position, as if ready to cheer or fight. But as for "bright glowing eyes", are you sure that it isn't a mod that gives you that as an eye option? I have eye mods that give me such options. Oh, are you sure that you aren't either a Vampire or Werewolf?

Vampire, Nope, wearwolf, cured, no wierd eye mods. The spots of bright light look like some kind of glitch, because they seem to be coming from small "slits" next to each eye. I'm used to it now, though.

Hmm. Odd. I've seen that before, somewhere. I'm sorry that my suggestions didn't help. I just realised that I wasn't looking in the right spot to use "FNIS". The right spot is in the file labeled, "Tools". Now it works! I had made one by cheating, and it was always failing, because it wasn't in the right spot. Now that I've finally used it right, maybe my animations problems are over. I hope so! Good luck finding a solution to your problem.

I had that blue glowing eye bug for well over a year to the point where I thought I would never find a solution for it...until last week. I tried fix after fix but finally came across one on the Nexus that worked for me. It's called the "Glowing Eye Bug Workaround"....don't know if it will work for you but give it a shot?

pretty well known bug, but with console commands it is easily fixable. Looks like that mod is merely a cosmetic fix of sorts, it doesn't address the fact that a spell has been added to the player when it shouldn't be, and will remove the glowing eyes from draugr and skeletons as well.

Go to third person view, open the console (press ~) and enter "player.addspell 000f71d1" close the console, then open the console again and enter "player.removespell 000f71d1"

There was a thread, I think right here on Steam, with a list of all the spells that could be inadvertently added tot he player and the spell ID's for them, but I can't seem to find it... will keep looking. but that will get rid of Draugr eyes.

*edit - found it. it was on the Nexus: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/872861-tutorial-removing-unwanted-magic-effects-from-the-player/

You're welcome, though I'm not "RayeGunn", I'm just acknowledging your "Thanks all", as a part of said "all". :-)

for me the fix was none of the above.

i noticed in racemenu after becoming a vampire i was noted as being a "PlayerRace" character. after the ritual i did player.setrace HighElf and she seeemd to be back to visual normal.

player.sexchange twice in console

Try this in the command writer (the botton next to the number 1 "ªº\"): write player.addspell 000f71d1 , press enter, and now write player.removespell 000f71d1. I think your problem is a bug that happens sometimes when you enter in a draugr area and the effect that you see in your character is the glowing eyes of the draugr.

- In third person, open the console and enter "player.addspell 000f71d1"

- Close the console and notice a slight darkening around your character

- Open the console again and enter "player.removespell 000f71d1"

- Close the console and your eyes should stop glowing.
