My notes are all blank. How do I fix this?

Why are my notes now blank? For example I was playing and someone tried to kill me. I foound a note for my death in his pocket. I revisited the note and now the note is compeltely blank. Another man came to me with a mysterious note I had never read and when I finally had the time it was blank also. Why are my notes blank? I have no mods and no DLC. This is basic Skyrim. I've restarted my system many times also and no luck. Everything was fine until one day it just erased all my ntoes I guess.. books still open fine.

No mods at all (like fonts)? Forgive the question, but sometimes folks say they don't and it turns out they have something small they didn't think would matter...

Try verifying your game cache: Right click Skyrim in your library - go to Properties - Local Files and click Verfiy Integrity of Game Cache. Doing that will replace any missing or corrupted files. See if that fixes the problem.

Well I installed some PC fonts a few months ago long before buying Skyim.. but I have not directly modified this game, no. No idea how to if I wanted to. Thanks I tried Verify Integrity. It said there was 1 file which I supposed had a conflict and was repaired however I started the game up again and still the problem is still there. The letters are all blank still.

Sorry to say that's about it for suggestions from me. Google offered very little, just a few other reports of a similar problem with no solutions. Maybe someone else has seen this and can offer a fix.

You could also try posting in the tech support section of the official forums, someone over there may have seen this and be able to help you fix it. Sorry not more help. Good luck.

When trying to Validate I get this:

"1 files failed to validate and will be reacquired"

That's normal, it's a bug introduced a while back. If one of your texture files needed replacing it would be more than 2kb download...

I read it has something to do with buying the house in Whiterun, then storing items there or whatever it's called?

For the record I was hoping not to close the game at the time I took the pictures.. not to mention seemingly having to completely reinstall it now. I was hoping for an immediate solution, no thanks to trolls like you.

Ever heard of using the Steam overlay to upload screenshots, genius? And even if you didn't use that, there's also alt+tab.
