Where the heck is Dravin?

So I need to find some flawless saphires, and everyone says that theres this quest from a guy named Dravin at merryfair farm, and he simply isn't there. I know it's the right place, though. Any theories?

if you find him around his farm just outside Riften he will ask you to get he's bow back from the ratway thieves-the bow is a room with a long table two little chest sitting on top, the bow is a chest in the corner

he sometimes gets killed by dragons

well, he simply isn't where he's supposed to be so I guess he did get killed :/ oh well. Thanks!
