not to be offensive, i love ES games but in single player bethesda seems to be unable to deliver a bug free experience, if they want to plunge that MASSIVE amount of player in a massively large world, god forgive how many bugs we'll run into....
Eh... Fair enough.
hell yes. singleplayer rpg are extremly complex.
i think we'll get another boring mmo...
Those numbers are out of thin air, most of them... Though it is true gw2 had a massive number of sales, it has suffered from evacuation syndrom.
http://mmodata.blogspot.com/ Do they still update this thing?
WoW has had several massive evacuations in the past few years. It doesn't happen as much as it use to, but i'm sure allot of people remember what it was like to try a new mmo at launch a few years after wow had been out, it's gotten allot better recently though. The community just may survive, and re-evolve back into a more hardcore nature, which would then prompt that type of content to return, instead of the mind numbingly boring pve stuff they are putting out right now.
FF14 reborn is looking pretty good, releases in a few weeks!.

The metrics for gw2 are hard to find, but they have already admitted to tracking registered accounts and not active log-ins. Which means they think i still play gw2.
Activision Blizzard Q1 2013 Financial Results Conference Call.
1.3 million subscriber loss making world of warcraft 8.3 million players world total.
Activision Blizzard Q2 2013 Financial Results Conference Call
600k subscriber loss making world of warcraft 7.7 million players world total.
That is information provided by blizzard every quarter, the information is fact. By looking at the information provided by blizzard your notice quite a lot of subscriber loss over the last couple of years, one might say 1.3 millions subs lost in a space of 3 months which was only 3 months ago is a evacuation on many levels.
We also know its share holders want out, that doesn't make WoW look promising with the mass subscriber loss and share selling. You don't have to be a fortune teller to see where world of warcraft is going, its looking more evident as the time goes on.
I wasn't disagreeing you people, was simply stating with NO BACKUP FOR YOUR NUMBERS THEY ARE OUT OF THIN AIR... I'm not disagreeing that WoW has been falling into the pits of hell for multiple years now...
THAT IS WHY I LINKED THE WOW DEATH CHART. Blizz has been releasing quarterly drops longer then the first two quarters of 2013.
mmoDATA tracks WoW, and a few other massive titles... Not GW2 because they won't release proper information on server population.
I couldn't agree more... They totally should of gone the heavy instancing route, hell even add in "hubs" but restrict the world to private-groups & solo.
They should of done this years ago, not now.
*cough* Guild Wars 2
