What I would change is the magic in this game. Total overhaul. For a game that features magic to have such a crappy selection of weak and unimaginative spells, is almost unforgivable.
Then I'd rewrite it for adults and stick an M on the box.
I would definetly also break down the current magica, health and stamina so that each individual set would have greater impact on all the skills. i would prefer to have: strength, stamina, agility, intelligence and charisma (skip the willpower). For instance u could be strong and hit hard, but someone skilled would be more accurate and fast.Concerning size: A large person would have increased damage bonus, while someone small would be naturally faster. intelligence would ofc have impact on magica, alchemy skills, and charisma speech skills, BUT a high agility and intelligence would make u an even better alchemist and smith. and a high intelligence and charisma would make u an amazing illusionist and persuader. These combos would affect bonuses for all the skills that are broken down in the skilltree, and YES there would be even more combinations. see where i am going with this?
imo this would really make the game into a much more true RPG....create the type of playeru want!
therefore u would also have to really go for the perks and the type of charachter u want to create... For instance one handed weapons into long blades, short blades, and blunt. 2 handed almost the same. And a Distance weapons skill would be throwing weapons(spear, daggers, axes etc), bow and crossbow. alchemy would be divided with the types of potions to create such as healing, combat, physical, mental (poison, strength, agility, magica, illusions etc). enchanting would be broken down according to the specified type of area such as combat, physical, mental. Smithing broken down into the different weapon types and materials. Speech broken down into things such as persuasion, barter, interrogation, informationseeking or to find out if anyone lies/tells the truth, all by unique dialogue options for someone skilled in those areas.
this is more like the old school morrowind. it creates such a wide depth, and THAT is what i really really miss out from skyrim today. and that is a shame because theres just so much potential to create these factors. today these things are "built in" or "hidden" but if u have those as ur own skills u can really interact with the world in a completely different way. that is what i really want more then graphix. The graphix that are in the game is fantastic and thanks to the wastely improved additions by the modcommunity it is incredible. BGest environment today. These things concerning skills and player attributes are however what i really lack in the game. The problem would be for the NPC:s to handle all this lol.....guess that would mean a LOOOOT of work lolz :D
save me sometime searching,..but hey, thats part of the game I guess,.The vendors do get away with it though,..
