menu not appearing

for some reason try to play skyrim it gets to dragon symbol and the menu doesnt show up. it was fine one night then next morning couldnt played. i have tried everything i could think of to fix it. if somebody know how to fiz please help.

can you see the quit screen when you hit the ESC key?
if you can it is something else
if not try

ok ez fix
hit ~ tildy key
type TM (toggle menu)
hit ENTER
that should bring your menus back

IF IT DON'T ..
HIT UP ARROW once AND HIT ENTER AGAIN (that will trigger the last command you entered)
this will keep your .ini strate

If you are talking about subtitles
in the QUIT screen go to DISPLAY
go down to bottom and there are two subtitles
buttons that can be clicked.

OOOoooo that's not good... have you loaded any MOD's or updates via stream?
if so tickle the load order...
Before you hit play go down to DATA FILES
make sure Harthfire is loaded last on the list ... at the bottom... if you are running Skyrim V

Most likely caused by mods, deactivate your latest one or the one that recently updated (one more reason why Steam Workshop is bad).

cant be the mods i turned off everymod i had. and still menu didnt show up.

was getting to that but had to get coffee
lower your graphic settings just a little...might be heating up your Vcard too much for your system ... "system said O' know not again!"...

they cant get that far ...can't get to the main menu ... contune ..load...new...

ok so this is as confusing as it gets: Does the game crash to desktop after the bethesdalogo is finished loading or does it load onto the menuscreen and there is no menu there? otherwise its as it always has been: uncheck all mods and DLC and try, if that works then u can just try by unchecking one mod at a time and try restarting until u find the problem. another thing to do is if u have mods to update SKSE(which often needs to be updated after the game itself is updated) If its not the mods u can do the following: verify integrity of ur gameffiles (right click on the game from ur library and its under options or something like that). still not working? then u should update ur graphix cards drivers (common problem) and still doesnt work, reinstall the whole game. if that still doesnt work then u could try updating ur directx or its most likely a hardware malfunction.
