Explain how this game is underrated
Also, if there is a flaw anywhere in the game, there is probably a mod for that.
Heh, I admit the DB questline could of started off different but you'd know why if you listend to their storyline. This isn't the Darkbrotherhood of Cyrodiil, they don't follow tenents and they don't have a listener (the guy or girl who says who to kill). When you find them they're literally operating as no better than a reclusive bunch of mercs.
Skyrim doesn't "require" lots of mods but it certainly is a huge appeal. I don't recall how many hours I clocked in vanilla Skyrim but I can say I quite enjoyed them.
Yes, Skyrim is an awesome RPG. I own it on console and PC...but it's hardly the best of all time. Fallout 3 is much better in many ways. Dragon Age. Hell, even the original Mass Effect. And let me not forget The Witcher 2, that deserved way more hype then it got. Skyrim doesn't have much in the way of decision making and world changing and really doesn't follow through on much of its promise. The main story is lackluster and the whole civil war element was really lacking in terms of impact. The Dark Brotherhood quest line pales in comparison to the quest line we saw in Oblivion.
Yes, Skyrim is great. But hell no, it's not 'underrated'...least underrated game of all time.
Sure hats off to bethesda for creating skyrim and taking all the time to add all those amazing quests that keep us all super busy. I really like how almost everyone i meet has a quest for me to do as it means the games never over within 8 hours like what games such as splinter cell etc are finished by
But i think its only really special because of all the mods the community makes for the game which can change the game to everyones personal - feel like it was made for them - game
my games a LOT different looking compared to others i have seen. In my skyrim world all the woman look attractive and theres ninja's - flying airships - anime style outfits - new monsters such as werebears (werewolf bears) and loads of other different things. Yet in my friends his entire skyrim is a steampunk style world and in anothers its a LOTR style world
I think its the fact we can all mod the crap out of skyrim till its our own personal game which is why it is so special. I think thats why a lot of people liked fallout 3 and Vegas and oblivion so much. Because we could manipulate it into something our own. You just cant do that with games like Halo
IMO, as Thundercats says, the success of Skyrim is probably more due to being able to completely mod it to our appealing, than to the perfection of the game itself.
Really?
http://store.steampowered.com/stats/
^ On Steam alone, it's the 4th most played game on Steam with 40,046 players in the last 24 hours, which is pretty good for a single player game that's almost 2 years old and being in the middle of the work week..... and only counting Steam players (Not including console players or others outside of Steam)
What the hell more do you want?
This.
everything out there,..I actually just started Fallout 3,.
I really wouldn't say the game was underrated,it's has receieved a lot of attention and I do
recommand it for anyone ,.I do enjoy anything that breaks new ground and I hope
that the developers will contine forward with the next addition,.,
I am looking forward to that I will admit,.
You just dont get this with games like Tomb Raider/Call of Duty/splinter cell/The last of us. I mean those types of games you cant really do bugger all to them. You just get GIVEN what the makers made and you cant add anything yourself to it and pretty much once those games are completed thats it.
Its like Bioware with Mass Effect making it NOT user friendly so that not many people (if ANY) could make proper mods for it and instead essentially blackmail us to buy there over priced DLC because they know there wont be any modders made quests or anything. I mean the only REAL mod mass effect has is Mass Effect 3's proper ending mod were the reapers get destroyed and sheperd is saved by Edi. The game NEEDED that mod yet because its so non user friendly theres pretty much less than what? 2% of mods out there for it?
Because bethesda made skyrim so user friendly and because we have the creation kit - this game wont get old and boring for a LONG time
