...looks more "humanoid" than the vanilla Bosmer.

But I guess it's all down to personal preference.
Blame the LOTR cookie cutter type of elves who keep portraying elves as the Mary Sue-ish race with no real flaws. Now if you read the Silmarillion, it does state there is a reason as to why the thousand of years old elves in LOTR are like that; natural selection. All the dumbass elves are all killed a long time ago. Not to mention some of that world's worst calamities are caused by elves.
Well excuse me if when I saw LOTR and The Hobbit I was impressed by Legolas and Tauriel. For the first time since hearing the word Elf, I felt like I was actually seeing an elf. I'm sorry, but I just admire the aspects that built the LOTR elves.
I'm a little happier with what Bethesda did in ESO with elves, they particularly un-♥♥♥♥♥♥ themselves with the hairstyles, which now look more elvish. But with Skyrim, it felt a little bit like Grandpa was taking me to the Opera for no reason other than if kids don't start seing the Opera then there won't be any more Opera.
And that's excuse me PRINCESS!

Anyway, here's the thing

As you can guess, I am with the camp with a strong dislike for the cookie cutter Tolkein-esq elves. Not Tolkien elves themselves mind you, it's the imitators who only vaguely know about what the Tolkien elves are and just use them to make some perfect race or something. Hang out in dem' RP forums and you'll see what I mean.
Enough of that rant, time for another rant! Why I like the TES Mer designs, especially the Skyrim's aesthetic designs; they're different. It's a fantasy world and it's the kind of world where you can truly show off your imagination and creativity, even if it most if not all depiction of elves are based on Tolkien. For example, the Dunmer/Dark Elves who have a traditionalist, religious and racist and their way of life in the homeland was basically who can backstab each other the fastest. The Bosmer/Wood Elves are cannibalistic plant worshippers and at some point the men used to be midgets. The Altmer/High Elves may look like the "holier than thou which you can't argue" archetype but they are just as strange and flawed as the "lesser humans". And that's not going with the Orsimer or even the Maomer.
And we get this for ESO;

Her trailers is pretty much her doing almost everything without effort and being Tauriel.
To clarify, I am most certainly not in this camp: http://derpy.me/360noscopeskillz
The existance of that type of elf pisses me off to no extent. What I admire about the Tolkein elves is their elegance, it just sets of an elven vibe, and when I say elegance I don't mean "omg bae she killed 20 spiders in 4 seconds <4". I am so terribly sorry for admiring something.

I find him sophisticated enough to be an elf. Not some brow ridged maniac.

She's a Bosmer, just give her prettier hair and you got a good face. But yeah Nexus has all the mods you need. There is at least one elven overhaul that pretty much removed the ridges.
If you recall the Alliances trailer in ESO, I'm hankering to make a Dunmer fire mage reminiscent of the ones accompannying that giant Nord in the wearbear basement. But those dunmer look young and somewhat attractive, and Skyrim dunmer look unhelpfully elderly.
Another Dunmer, mild ridge. I use Race Menu which just adds more sliders doesn't really do anything for their looks per se. I think what matters most is the preset you pick. Find the overall face shape you want. Then tweak the hell out of it. Move the age slider to the left, complexion too. Then slowly put it more right till it's good.

Altmer, unmodded without Steam screenshots. It takes practice but it's possible.
