100% Spell absorbtion and now I can't use conjuration!
I have atronach perk+stone with miraak. Also I am a vampire with necromage.

Now whenever I try to summon something the spell is absorbed and i regen magika. I can cast bound weapons.

I am playing dawngaurd and cant use the new dragon shout! Anyways I can but I have to take off so much time going around to the stone and such, altering my character back. Help please

Spell absorption is a choice. I had the same problem and simply chose to reduce my spell absorption until I could cast magic again.

Perhaps there is a mod that changes it so that it only affects other people's magic?

is there a mod, idk. i would like that.

what is the fix called?
drake Jul 25, 2013 @ 3:02pm
i should get 100% spell absorbtion+summoning
Rip Van Winkle X Jul 25, 2013 @ 3:35pm
I use magic resist myself. Though I had no idea you could get 100% with those two O.o I am a Breton, Lord Stone, 3 perks in Alteration, Alteration perk to Aborb spells, Miracks armor, and Dragonskin. (lol magic aganast me)

I can still Conjur with out any issues. I do hate when bugs like that show up though ;P Oh Beth.

I thought you were limited to somthing like 85% magic resist.

Then I would hit 80% with my Breton, Lord, and Alteration Perks. The others will help aborb magic. So if it's not aborbed anyway; I would resist a good amount of damage.

Ah I found it, http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Resist_Magic_%28Skyrim%29 so yea the cap is 85%. If you're hitting 100% it sounds like a bug or a mod script error.

He is using Magic Absorb, not Magic Resist. Two different things.

This is a bug that's fixed by the Unofficial Skyrim Patch.

There's a separate patch for vanilla Skyrim, Dragonborn, Hearthfire, Dawnguard, and even the official high res texture pack. I'd recomend installing each patch that's relevant to you and follow their suggested load order.

ALTHOUGH, i must say that after i installed that thing the game was so much smoother. i changed the settings higher and it is still smoother than prior

Install all Unofficial patch in this order: Skyrim -> Dawnguard -> Hearthfire -> Dragonborn.

If you can't use Seeker (which is Dragonborn's) Unofficial Dragonborn Patch should fix it.
