Can't buy a house in Whiterun, nor buy a tile

So, I did the quest for Whiterun (killing the dragon), but I can't see the option for buying a new house. I have the same problem in the other cities and for buying a new tile. Any help? D:

How far on in the game are you from completing the first Dragon killing?

I'm wondering if it is a glitch. I have encountered glitches where the stuff you buy of Aventus avenicci for your Whiterun House aren't appearing, and a quick re-load of the prior mission to unlock said abilities has seemed to behave properly on a second attempt of reloading...

Maybe try doing the Kill the Dragon Quest again, and see if it is Available..

Secondly, if you have any mods running, do you think one of them is misbehaving?...have a look..

(Incidentally, I would, if you already havent, install B.O.S.S to help keep your load order in check..but make sure you check through the mods to see what order BOSS has put them in to fathom what will then happen to the loading of your game's content)

I checked for the quest and it's not there anymore, and I immediatly went for the Dragon. I killed it at lvl5 so I'm pretty new into the current character. I'll try the BOSS, then i'll tell if it worked or not.

I installed BOSS and checked it out. It seems that everything is working just fine.

Ok. um, what I mean is reload an earlier save to before you did the quest.....Do it again, and (yes you lose what progress you made but the sooner you do it the better) after you come back to Dragonsreach to talk about buying a House, see what happens. I did this regarding my Alchemy Lab that did not appear. Some of my friends told me that the bugginess is well known regarding purchassing from Aventus...so I reloaded an earlier save to before I saw him to buy the Alchemy Lab, I tried again, went home and it had worked....

So reloading the save, doing the Quest again, and seeing him a second time around will have a high chance of rectifying the glitch...good luck!

you should be told to talk to one of the jarls servants who deals with property. find her in the jarls house and you should be good.

I never talked to Aventus in the Porch, always tlak to him when he's next to the king. Anyway, I'll try to see what can I do with the console commands, thank you!

I wouldn't advise using a console command for this. There could be undesireable consequences for forcing scripted quest based progress...

Instead, go see him when he is in his room upstairs in the Jarl's Quarters. Or, if you already know about the situation, try what I initially suggested. Your game, your funeral, at the end of the day...best of luck.

It should work with a reload...It did for me when my Alchemy Lab didn't appear in Breezehome after buying it...

I reloaded and went to see him again, then it worked, I really hope it does for you :)

Try disabling Breezehome Enhanced Mod. Worked for me.
