I've actually encountered this problem before as well. It annoyed me a bit, but it really doesn't matter. Just continue out of town and across the bridge. From there take the path left up the mountain.
As for the spiders... hey, free target practice! They'll hit the floor. Y'know, when they die.
I'd just like to say here and now; Skyrim is often fickle. Glitches are everywhere (although patches do cut down on some nastier ones... at times), and you can't expect everything to flow smoothly at all times. Shoot, right now I'm trying to retrieve a stray dog companion that has vanished for no reason on me (and for the 2nd time).
Also, those issues are very minor at best. You can ignore Camilla showing the way and just head up to Bleak Falls Barrow. It shouldn't hurt in anyway, and you aren't missing much. And the spiders not coming down until Ralof shoots them? Take it as an unintentional advantage, kill the spiders, and move on.
2: The quest is not broken, I always went in alone, and finished the quest without a problem. Well there were problems, but just with figuring out how to beat powerful foes early in the game. Just go ahead. Good luck!
