Nexus Mod Manager + BOSS + DLC

Hey guys! I was attempting to use the Nexus Mod Manger to play with some mods but when I can't get NMM to recognize any of the DLC ( dawnguard.esm, etc. ) are missing from my plugins. Since they are not showing... the rest of my boot order is not working correctly.

I am using SKSE 1.6.15 and BoSS... Boss is not recognizing any of the plugins as well but it is showing that it recognizes Update.esm, Dawnguard.esm, Hearthfires.esm, and Dragonborn.esm ( in that order )

Help me plz.. been at this for like six hours.. its so frustrating.

It could be that NMM hasn't got the correct Skyim folder. Open NMM and click on the folder icon on the top menu bar, then click on "open game folder". It should open the folder with the following path (for astandard install) \Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim

Also look in \Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data and check that you can see dawnguard.bsa, dragonborn.bsa and esm files from your mods.

I don't see the dawnguard.bsa, dragonborn.bsa in the folder that you suggested. Im not sure why though or how to get them to show up. When I right click my my skyrim on my steam library, and show DLC.. it shows them listed.. as well as when i launch it and check the "data files" option in the launcher. I'm so confused.. I really want to get this to work. =/

If you cannot see dawnguard.bsa or dragonborn.bsa it usually means that NMM has not identified the correct Skyrim folder. You need to double check that this is the case before doing the following:

Uninstall all of your mods from NMM (don't delete them from disk or you will have to download them again).

Shut down NMM

Restart NMM and on the splash screen select "Rescan Installed Games" and click "OK"

NMM will scan for installed games that it supports, you can speed this up by clicking on the red X next to games you do not own (or don't want to use NMM with).

When it's finished check the found path for all of the games it has found (on a standard install the Skyrim path should be C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim) if the path is correct click on the green tick. Otherwise use the file selectioon box to navigate to the right folder.

Do this for all of the games you want to use NMM with. Then click "OK"

Select "Skyrim" from the next dialogue box and click "OK"

Now click on the folder icon on the top menu bar when NMM fully launches, then click on "open game folder".

Open the Data folder from the displayed window, you should now see dragonborn.bsa and dawnguard.bsa (amongst other files).

If you do see them you can re-install your mods. Otherwise NMM is still looking at the wrong folder.

i'm having the same problem Thai Khan did but i don't know how to just just Uninstall mods from NMM and not delete them

Go into the Mod section and click on the mod which will become highlighted, then the second icon from the top - blue jigsaw shape with a red arrow. This will deactivate the mod so it will not install.

DO NOT SELECT THE RED X which is the third icon this deletes your mod.

Edit: To reactivate your mod highlight it again and click on the second icon again.

I have the load file correct and NMM still wont recognize my Dawnguard and Dragonborn plugins. Is there any way to force it to load?

OP. Even though your problem might've been solved. It's best to use LOOT.

The program itself is easy to install, plus it runs like BOSS. Except it's more updated and more informed about your load order

Yeah iv'e solved the problem now ,thanks anyway though.
