I'm kinda chillin out from constantly repeating myself, but if you want to improve your game with mods, then definitely go for armour and weapons, if your system is powerful enough, then check out better texture mods.. and above all, Immersive mods.
There is a category specifically for 'immersive'.

I find the game much more fun and challenging when simply staying aliive is an issue (especially if you turn fast travel off, it really makes you plan your dungeon raids and quests)
