Problem with subtitles. *solved*

whenever i pass an NPC and it talk's to me, no subtitles will pop up and whenever i fight enemy NPC's, no health bars will pop up showinghow much more do i have to kill it. ive checked to see if the subtitles were enabled and ive tried everything i could to fix this problem. will someone please help me?

Edit:so think it has something to do with my mods having dirty edit's. for example, it says my HearthFire's.esm has 184 ITM and 11 UTR record's. can someone please explain these dirty edit things to me so i can correct and fix the problem.

Edit: the HP bar problem has been resolved.

I don't think that's causing your problem but to answer your question:

I might suggest resetting your ini files. They're stored in My Documents / Games / Skyrim
Move them if you've made changes you want to remember, just delete them if you haven't made any changes and run the launcher (not skse_loader). The game will make new ones. That may fix your issue.

how do i reset? im completely clueless on these kind of things and video's dont really help. in fact, just friend request me and we can go through this in the private chat.

if you are using skyui , ihud and or less intrusive hud you might need to re-enable those functions in mcm

When you are in the game..... SAVE..... then while in the main menu go to Display Menu go down and, i think there two er three, SUBTITLE optinos that you can click on.

okay, so i think ive solved the problem. the HP bar and the subtitles seem to glitch out of the game sometime's and when i either start a new charachter or load to an older save before i had the problem, then the issue goes away and the game fixe's itself.

I've just downloaded Skyrim, and now I have the same very problem with no subtitles showing, considering I ticked subtitles option on in the menu. I've cleaned all dirty edits just in case, tried to save/load. So, there's no option for me to load an older save with no sub problem. And yes, I have a bunch of mods installed, but they are nice and clean, in the correct load order and so on.
I would *really* appreciate some help.

Done clean install of the game. Still no subtitles. I'm at a loss...
