Spoiler Alert! Season Unending different repercussions?
Ok, Im about to negotiate this truce. I want to side with my handsome Bear of Eastmarch on every occasion, except give up Riften instead of Dawnstar. I overheard that I should side with my enemies during truce negotiations because that will unlock various side quest when I go to Stormcloack it up in the civil war. Does anyone know what those are and what difference it makes? TY! <3

Well you could have always ended the war before reaching that point like I did, though I'm not sure if you can end the war with the quest started.
Trigger Jul 9, 2013 @ 1:15am
starting the war before the endgame will end up messing up the thieves guild quest with Vex as you do a quest for her, because the war will destory houses you might have to break into to steal something.

in the truce meeting the stormcloaks will get Markreath and this will put an end to the Forsworn uprising or something along that line.
Trigger Jul 9, 2013 @ 1:36am
you might want to go to markreath and do the forsworn conspiracy quest before holding the truce talks, as you will be handing over markreath over to the stormcloaks and then it will be to late for the forsworn quest as it is tied to the imperals.
Thank you, Trigger! I did the forsworn conspiracy before and am not sure if I will be doing it again. I am wondering how does siding with my enemies during the negotiations give me extra side quests during the civil war?

LoveMe--you are a woman after my own heart. I love the Great Bear too. But I have sided with the Imperials in the Treaty and it did nothing extra except unlock some great dialogue from Ulfric. It's kind of profane so I won't repeat it here for fear of getting booted from Steam but I laughed my butt off. He was mad at me but it worked out in the end.

OH--now that I think of it, there was one quest it did NOT give me because I favored the Imperials. I did not get the war quest where you hunt down the Imperial Courier and kill him to get the documents to forge. Then you can't impersonate him to give the forged papers to the Legate in Morthal. I was dissappointed because I love impersonating an Imperial to infiltrate.

So I have found that siding with Ulfric gives me the best results.

You should look up the "Obedient Ulfric" mod in the workshop which allows you to have him as a follower and makes him marriagable. It is SO Cool.

LOL when I read the OP I was so sure this must've been you on some other account or something!

OP? I know most acronyms but that one has me baffled. I only have one account. I zeroed in on this one because it was about Ulfric. I love those dark heroes.

Funny you mention that mod!! I abandoned my PS3 and bought a new PC all so I can marry Ulfric! I am waiting to hand him the throne first. It will be my first marraige, either in game or out, lol, so Im very excited! Oh, btw, if you read often, I stumbled on a brilliant bit of fanfiction called The Bear and the Wolf. I will post a link. If you love the Handsome Bear of Eastmarch as much as I do, you will LOVE this story! http://www.fanfiction.net/s/8424347/1/The-Bear-and-the-Wolf
